Merging new documents

On April 20, 2018, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC amending and supplementing Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC regulating customs procedures, inspection and supervision, tax and tax administration for import-export goods. This circular plays an important role and covers all customs operation and is closely related to Customs agencies as well as import and export enterprises. Many parts of Circular 39 wererevised compared to Circular 38, so monitoring and searching between the twocirculars faces a lot of difficulties.

From this fact, customs officials of Hon Gai Customs Seaport Branch havemerged contents of the two circulars and created chapters, sections and clauses to facilitate enterprises and customs officers in searching and performing.

In addition, performance of intellectual property rights is one of contents focused on deploying by the Customs sector. According to statistics, nearly 500 trademarks are registered for intellectual property rights sent to the General Department of Vietnam Customs. Inspection and identification of trademarks registered for intellectual property rights is a difficult problem for customs officials checking dossiers and conducting physical inspections, especially under high pressure.

To support customs officials in performing, the branch has developed a utility to support in checking the name of goods containing trademarks registered intellectual property rights, effectively support customs officials in performing their work.
