Hunting down the owners of 534 imported cargo containers

All of the above containers arrived at the port at the end of 2017, and from the beginning of 2018 until now, they have been overdue for more than 90 days (overdue for the time at the import border gate as prescribed) but no one has come to do customs procedure for receiving goods.

According to the findings of the Customs News reporter, among the hundreds of containers mentioned above, they are mainly plastic scrap. This amount of scrap was mostly imported in early 2018.

According to the Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch, after publicly announcing the above backlogs to related organizations and individuals to come and carry out procedures for receiving goods, if the time limit is overdue 60 days since the day of announcement and no one comes to receive goods, the settlement council of the HCM City Customs Department will handle in accordance with the law.

It is known that besides the above backlogs, there are thousands of scrap containers that are also being classified by Customs authorities at Cat Lai port.
