Revenue collection in HCM City declines slightly

According to HCM City Customs Department, the state revenue collection in HCM City area from imports and exports in second quarter of 2022 (from March 16 to June 15, 2022) reached VND 30,242.4 billion; reduced by 0.09% compared to the first quarter 2022 and increasing by 11.08% over the same period in 2021.
Revenue collection from the beginning of the year to June 15, 2022 achieved VND63,526.4 billion, equalling 54.5% of ordinance estimates and 53.2% of the striving target assigned by General Department of Vietnam Customs.
According to HCM City Customs Department, the state revenue collection by June 30, 2022 is estimated at VND68,700 billion, equal to 59% of the estimate (VND116,500 billion) and 57.5% of the target set by the General Department of Vietnam Customs assigned (VND119,500 billion); an increase of 9.6% (which is an absolute increase of VND6,032 billion) over the same period in 2021.
To achieve the above results, HCM City Customs Department has effectively implemented a scheme to facilitate customs procedures in logistics activities and prevent cargo congestion at Cat Lai port following Decision No. 2318/QD-HQHCM; ensure 24/7 operation of hotlines, suggestion boxes, maintain problem-solving teams at departments and branches in order to promptly receive and handle complaints and recommendations of related individuals and organizations.
The Department also maintains and provides level 3 and 4 online public services for 100% of customs procedures at departmental and branch levels on the HQ36a Online Public Service System, the National Single Window, in order to create the most favorable conditions for import-export activities, contributing to helping businesses restore production after the Covid-19 pandemic.
