Lang Son strengthens prevention and control of Covid-19 at border gate

Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that in addition to measuring body temperature and being sprayed with medical disinfectant, all citizens must clearly declare their epidemiological history,departure and arrival information before carrying out immigration procedures. Along with that, the International Medical Quarantine Center in Lang Son must coordinate the competent forces to strictly control the transportation of experts, high-tech workers, investors, businesses, and traders from the border gate.
From December 1, the International Medical Quarantine Center in Lang Son has strictly implemented medical procedures for drivers of vehicles carrying import and export goods across border gates in the province.
Specifically, all vehicles must be sprayed with disinfectantbefore importing or exporting. All driversfrom Vietnam to China and vice versa, must undergo medical examination andwear protective clothing in accordance with the health sector's regulations.
Talking to Customs Newspaper, the representative of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that to control the disease, Lang Son province has established a communication channel with the Chinese medical quarantine agency to report the situation and coordinate in prevention and control of the pandemic across the border gate. At the same time, to implement communication measures in the border gate area, especially for passengers arriving and returning from the pandemic areas about prevention and control measures.
Also according to the representative of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, Huu Nghi border gate installed three Automatic Infrared Thermal Imaging Body Temperature Rapid Screening Instrument, ensuring that 100% of people passing through the entry area into Vietnam can be monitored. Any signs of abnormal body temperatures of passengers are checked and quarantined by medical staff. Every day, the working group is on duty from 7:00am to 9:00pm to monitor all passengers entering the border gate. Huu Nghi Border Gate has been equipped with waiting rooms and isolation rooms, forany suspected cases that are detected.
The representative of the Huu Nghi Border Gate Medical Quarantine Team (under the International Medical Quarantine Center of Lang Son Province) said that the team has now strengthened the medical quarantine for people and vehicles on entry, in transit and imported goods. The disinfectant spraying system for vehicles entering Vietnam operates continuously, meeting disease prevention requirements.
The Huu Nghi Customs - Border Guard forces have closely coordinated to strengthen patrol, controlling trails andborder-crossings to prevent illegal entry. At the same time, the two forces have strictly controlled import-export goods and vehicles on exit and entry across border gates.
At the Chi Ma border gate, due to the wide area, many trails and border crossings, people take advantage of the terrain to illegally exit and enter, so it is a high risk of spreadingCovid-19. To prevent this, the Border Guard, Customs and Quarantine forces have closely coordinated and implemented many measures, and assigned officers to patrol trails and border crossings. Thereby, preventing the illegal immigration and establishment of rings of illegal transportation of goods inland for consumption.
According to statistics from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, by the end of November 30,656,279 people have carried out procedures for immigration across Huu Nghi International Border Gate and some other border gates in the province. Of which, the number of foreigners entering Vietnam is 332,656 people and 100% of people on exit or entry must carry out medical checks for Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control. |
