Mong Cai Customs implements committees to accompany enterprises

Many support activities for enterprises

In May 10, 2019, Mong Cai Customs Branch and Business Association of Mong Cai City signed an MoU on the coordination of information exchange, implement support solutions, remove difficulties in the implementation of political tasks of each unit, contributing to improve business investment environment, improve provincial competitiveness and competitiveness at branch, sector and local level.

To implement the coordination, in recent times, the communication of Customs Law, Laws on Import and Export Duty and the Decrees and Circulars have been carried out regularly and continuously by Mong Cai Customs Branch.

When carrying out customs procedure, the unit has 119 administrative procedures under their competency, so that enterprise can easily look up and when carrying out customs procedures.

Since May 2019, the branch has posted 132 news articles and documents on mechanisms, policies and legal regulations on information channels (fanpage, website).

In addition, the branch maintained regular business dialogue to listen, connect, remove and accompany businesses.

In the past three years, despite the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mong Cai Customs held 11 dialogue with businesses and listened to and answered 28 problems at the dialogue.

During the implementation of customs procedures, the working teams/groups, customs officers actively listened and answered problems arising in customs procedures and supported the classification of import and export goods for businesses to accelerate clearance procedures.

Since May 2019, Mong Cai Customs has guided over; 2,500 enterprises via e-mail; 200 directly on goods classification; and nearly 100 businesses which requested instructions on the order and procedures for operations and administrative procedures in the field of customs.

The Branch established four working groups to support businesses by type and product. The working groups have conducted 80 turns of working with enterprises at the headquarters of the Customs office and the headquarters of enterprises to listen to difficulties and problems as well as guide them to solve problems and disseminate the law.

On the other hand, enterprises also made a fair assessment of customs procedures through the assessment of service quality of customs officers software on the system. Thanks to the fair assessment of enterprises, Mong Cai Customs Department timely grasped data to improving service quality.

Committed to supporting and accompanying businesses

Through the reporter's note, the Customs Control and Supervision Team No. 1 (Mong Cai Customs Branch) is implementing many solutions to improve service quality; promote administrative reform; and pandemic prevention associated with supporting enterprises to maintain and develop production and business activities.

Specifically, the team commits to support and provide information on mechanisms, policies, legal documents, procedures and relevant regulations on customs procedures so that the business community can easily access and contribute to building a transparent clearance environment and creating favorable conditions for the export and import of goods through the locality.

In the spirit of listening, understanding and sharing, Customs officers also want to receive comments and feedback from businesses on difficulties and problems in carrying out customs procedures, the spirit of service attitude of customs officers and information related to import and export activities.

At the same time, ensuring flexible working time, in accordance with regulations, arranging customs officers to work and be on duty seven days a week to handle customs procedures and other professional procedures, to serve the State management of customs within the scope of functions, tasks and assigned areas for management.

Every day, handling the work between closing and opening the border gate, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, such as conducting inspection and supervision for shipments being loaded and unloaded, until customs procedures are completed; carry out customs procedures on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, assign leaders and customs officers to handle work at noon (from 11:30 AM to 1 PM); and arrange to work outside of office hours at the request of enterprises.
