More than 200,000 records resolved through the National Single Window

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs - the Standing Agency of the National Steering Committee on the ASEAN Single Window, the National Single Window and trade facilitation, by the end of November 2016, the total number of administrative procedures implemented through the National Single Window was 36 procedures of 10 Ministries.

In order to improve the efficiency and the quality of the National Single Window, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has recently collaborated with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to implement new administrative methods to increase the number of procedures implemented through the National Single Window.

Besides, the Standing Agency of the National Steering Committee has worked with relevant Ministries and agencies to implement the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 34/2016/QD-TTg of 23 August 2016 on electronic procedures for vessels on entry or exit of seaports and inland waterway ports through the National Single Window.

Related to the implementation of the National Single Window, according to the Plan for implementing the National Single Window and the ASEAN Single Window for 2016 -2020 (which was issued by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue - Head of the National Steering Committee on the ASEAN Single Window, the National Single Window and trade facilitation in Decision 2185 / QD-TTg of 14th November 2016), the Government will strive to implement all administrative procedures related to the State management of exports, imports and goods in transit; passengers on entry or exit through the National Single Window in the form of online public services at level 4.

In addition, Vietnam shall participate in and fully implement the ASEAN Single Window under the commitments and roadmap for implementation of the ASEAN countries; and shall be ready to connect technically and exchange information with other partners out of ASEAN under the treaties and agreements which Vietnam is a member.

Regarding specific objectives, to 2018, the Government is determined to complete the nationwide expansion of procedures for vehicles, imports and exports through seaports, inland waterway ports, airports and oil offshore; and procedures for vehicles entering and leaving airports through the National Single Window.
