VCN- It is stated by the Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Cong Binh at the Dialogue Conference with South Korean businesses on Customs and Tax policies and administrative procedures in 2017 held by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with   the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam on 15 September, 2017 at the headquarters of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

According to Deputy the Deputy Director General Nguyen Cong Binh, many surveyed businesses satisfied with the efforts in reforming administrative procedures, of which 94% of businesses satisfied with positive change in developing of Customs policy and law period 2010-2015; 81% of businesses expressed satisfaction with easy access to available information on Customs administrative procedures; 76% of businesses satisfied with the Customs’ support in handling obstacles.

The clearance time for shipments classified into Green channel without tax payment has reduced less than 3 seconds. Currently, 100% of Customs procedures have been automated nationwide with the participation of 100% of Customs Departments and 100% of Customs Branches and 66.51 thousand of businesses to implement Customs procedures via VNACCS/VCIS.

Until the end of 15 June 2017, import and export turnover reached US $ 214.047 billion, total export and import declaration was 5.7 million declarations. Therefore, after more than 2 years of implementation nationwide, VNACCS/VCIS has proved its superiority and brought remarkable efficiency and practical benefits to import-export businesses and State management in Customs field.

Many procedures have been carried out electronically, thanks to the effective deployment of the VNACCS/VCIS system by the Ministry of Finance (General Department of Vietnam Customs) as well as the promulgation of Decree No.08/2015/ND-CP and Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC reduced Customs administrative procedures and shortened clearance time to deliver goods in a timely fashion to their partners and facilitated import-export activities, the Deputy Director General Nguyen Cong Binh said.

In order to effectively implement policies in reality, with the roles as a State agency managing on tax and Customs, the Ministry of Finance expects to receive positive feedback from business community and hopes to receive many candid comments from the Korean business community investing in business production in Vietnam on Tax and Customs policies and administrative of Vietnam to further reform and complete towards more transparency and specific. Thereby, taxpayers shall fully, swiftly and easily implement tax policies, contributing to the encouragement of investment and export in accordance with international practices and commitments in the process of regional and global economic integration of Vietnam.
