Newly established enterprises violate with shipment of fraudulent origin

On December 12, Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch (HCM City Customs Department) conducted verification for the shipment from China.
Previously, Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch worked with the Customs Enforcement Unit – HCM City Customs Department and Police Division on a criminal investigation into corruption, economy and smuggling (PC03 ) - Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ho Chi Minh City Border Control inspected a shipment imported by Stewardesses Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. from China and detected all the goods had fraudulent origin.

According to the customs declaration, the imported goods were fixed-type synthetic rubber pillows with the quantity of 1,800 pieces and value of nearly VND 230 million.
In fact, through inspection, the Customs authorities discovered the container featured items including nearly 1,000 rubber pillows, 2,600 sets of bed sheets, 1,800 mattress-protectors and 2,100 locked bags. All the goods lacked trademarks. However, the products had a label with French design and written as “made in Vietnam”.
According to reporter’s investigations, Stewardesses Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established in late July 2019, with a business address at Binh Quoi Street, Ward 28, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
