Over 1.5 million containers are coordinated to supervise at Hai Phong port

Hai Phong Customs Department is the first unit in the whole sector to coordinate with port enterprises in supervising import and export goods (start from 9/2015). Up to now, the coordination for supervision has been performed in 3 more provincial customs departments of Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Hai Phong Customs Department, since the implementation of supervision with the first enterprise that is Nam Hai Dinh Vu Joint Stock Company, so far, there are more than 1.53 million containers are supervised (the largest number of the whole sector).
Among 9 port enterprises that are conducting joint supervision, Nam Hai Dinh Vu Joint Stock Company has the largest volume of 480 thousand containers. Next is the Green Port VIP Joint Stock Company with nearly 270,000 containers; Tan Vu port company (belonging to Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company) reached nearly 250,000 containers; Dinh Vu Port Investment & Development JSC reached nearly 249,000 containers,...
Currently, Hai Phong Customs Department continues to be selected by the General Department of Vietnam Customs as the first pilot unit in the whole sector to implement the project "Supervision and control of import and export goods through warehouses and fields at Hai Phong port via e-customs clearance system” for applying in the whole sector.
Hai Phong Customs Department assessed that the project is a significant breakthrough in the Customs management, reform of administrative procedures and customs modernization. Accordingly, all exported goods or imported goods into storage areas or seaports shall be supervised via customs management on e-system of port enterprises that is connected to Customs systems.
