The competent force pursued Le Van Chia (born in 1972, lives in hamlet 1, Vinh Xuong commune, Tan Chau town, An Giang province) who was driving a motorbike from Cambodia to Vietnam.

After conducting an inspection, the working force searched the bag carried by Chia and found cash totaling VND 112 million, 1,924,600 Riel (Cambodian currency) and $1,750.

Initially, the suspect claimed that the foreign currencies were collected from a Cambodian casino and brought to Vietnam. However, he did not go through the main border gate and did not carry out customs declaration procedures as prescribed.

The working group made a record, issued a decision to detain Chia and the money and brought them to Vinh Xuong Border Station in order to continue the investigation and handling.
