Quang Ninh Customs leads chart of DDCI Quang Ninh for third consecutive time in 2019

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice chairman of People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province Bui Van Khang stressed that in the first days of the new year 2020, Quang Ninh chose to hold the Announcement Ceremony of DDCI Quang Ninh 2019, this was a message showing the province's top concern in 2020 is for the business community, looking to build a provincial business community for sustainable developement.

Themed "Enhancing the competitiveness of provincial enterprises in integration", this was the fifth year Quang Ninh has implemented DDCI assessment, which is now an annual event of Quang Ninh province.

Moreover, 35 units participated in DDCI Quang Ninh 2019 including 14/14 localities and 21 departments and sectors based in the province.

The evaluation results were based on the synthesis of opinions implemented by an independent consultancy unit with the supervision of the provincial business association based on the opinions of 2,015 enterprises, cooperatives and individual business households with 12,500 votes (up 6,000 votes compared to 2018).

The survey used open questions to collect ideas and suggestions from businesses, cooperatives and individual business households, proposing solutions on mechanism and policies of the province, as well as improving the process of handling administrative procedures, and the morale and attitude of provincial authorities to improve the quality of governance, contributing to the development of Quang Ninh province in association with the image of favourable business investment.

According to the consultancy unit, all businesses are actively participating, contributing additional ideas and showing their trust in the system of Government agencies and the DDCI index of Quang Ninh province.

As a result, Quang Ninh Customs Department kept the leading position with a score of 84.86, up 7.05 points compared to 2018.

The branches of the State Bank and the Economic Zones Authorities, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Information and Communications respectively ranked in the following positions.

Nguyen Van Nghien, Director of Quang Ninh Customs Department, achieved the highest leading role index, winning the trophy of "the most excellent leader of economic operator DDCI Quang Ninh 2019" of Quang Ninh province. This was a great honour for all customs officials and employees of Quang Ninh Customs Department as the third consecutive time (2017, 2018, 2019) winning the first place in the DDCI race of Quang Ninh province.

The above results fully reflected the efforts in the reform and administration of Quang Ninh Customs Department in recent years, a bright spot in the administrative procedure reform, reflecting quality and effectiveness in supporting and accompanying enterprises, demonstrating innovation and modernisation in customs operations.
