Accordingly, the General Department of Customs (GDVC) submitted to the Ministry of Finance to report to the Prime Minister on solutions to strengthen management for cane sugar from production to circulation under traceability.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to submit to the Prime Minister for application of traceability stamps for cane sugar.

In response to the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Government Office recently issued an official dispatch following the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh requesting the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finance, National Defense, Public Security and Agriculture and Rural Development to comply with the Government direction.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the units to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Finance to provide solutions to effectively strengthen the control of cane sugar, and prevent smuggling and evasion of trade remedies.
