Stop operation of 46 customs brokers

The customs brokers that had their operation terminated are under the management of Hanoi Customs Department.
The decision of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on terminating customs broker’s operation for 46 customs brokers and staff complied with the provisions at item a.4, Point a, Clause 2, Article 7 of Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC amended and supplemented in Clause 5 Article 1 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance and revoking staff’s code of customs broker as prescribed in Point đ, Article 10 of the Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC is amended and supplemented in Clause 7, Article 1 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC. These are provisions stipulated for the termination of operation and revocation of staff’s code for customs procedures.
The decision took effect from July 16 and abolished the decisions of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on recognition of customs broker’s activities for the companies.
Previously, on June 12, the General Department of Vietnam Customs issued Decision 1562/QD-TCHQ on terminating customs broker’s activities and revoking all staff’s code customs broker granted to 105 customs brokers under the management of HCM City Customs Department.
In Decision 1528/QD-TCHQ dated June 8, 2020, the General Department of Vietnam Customs terminated the operation of customs brokers and revoked all staff’s code for 32 customs brokers under the management of Hai Phong Customs Department.
The suspension and termination of customs brokers’ operation aimed to ensure operation of customs brokers in strict compliance with quality requirements and standards by law.
