Recently, some enterprises and units imported goods to Vietnam for sale or exhibition with images and information about the "nine-dash line". According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this case is very serious, affecting Vietnam's national security and territorial sovereignty and violating the law.The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a written request to units under the Ministry and the Departments of Industry and Trade to intensify inspection and supervision of commercial activities in their areas.

To prevent and handle similar cases, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested units under the Ministry and the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally-run cities to intensify the inspection and supervision in their localities for commercial activities such as manufacturing, trading, import and export, e-commerce, trade promotion and consumer rights protection.

This aims to detect and strictly handle cases of goods containing images, information about the "nine-dash line" and other images and information affecting national security and sovereignty and violating laws.
