VCN- It is expected that in the beginning of October 2018, the Ministry of Finance will coordinate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to hold a dialogue conference between the Ministry of Finance and enterprises on Customs and Tax policies and procedures in 2018.

Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai at the dialogue conference on Customs and Tax policies and procedures in 2017.

Implementing the Resolution 35/NQ-CP on business support to 2020, the Government’s Resolution 19/NQ-CP on major tasks and solutions to improve the business environment, enhance the national competitiveness, with an orientation to 2020, and basing on the results of implementation of the administrative reform, removing shortcomings and inadequacies for enterprises, the Ministry of Finance and VCCI will continue to implement the programs related to Customs and Tax reform, contributing to promptly removing shortcomings and inadequacies for businesses, create a favorable business environment, strengthen cooperation between enterprises and Tax and Customs authorities.

Basing on the actual requirements and operation of the business community, proposals of enterprises, including contents implemented in accordance with the reform roadmap of the Customs and Tax sector, implementing Resolutions 19, Resolutions 35 (including Directive 26 on the continued implementation of Resolution 35), the dialogue conference between the Ministry of Finance and enterprises on Tax and Customs policies and procedures 2018 will focus on contents directed by the Government on the reform of tax and customs procedures.

The dialogue conference between the Ministry of Finance and enterprises on Customs and Tax policies and procedures in 2018 will include two parts: the introduction on amendment of legal policies, tax and customs procedures, the results of removing shortcomings and inadequacies of enterprises, and the part on answers for removing shortcomings and inadequacies for enterprises.

The organization board plans to hold the dialogue conference between the Ministry of Finance and enterprises on Tax and Customs policies and procedures 2018 in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City with the open space for 600 enterprises’ representatives.

According to statistics, so far, the Customs authorities in the country have signed cooperation agreements with 232 enterprises to develop regular partners as the core force in Customs - enterprises partnership; signed 1701 documents on commitment with enterprises in support, supervision of the law enforcement; signed 52 cooperation agreements with business association. In 2017, the Customs sector held 53 business meetings, 89 periodical dialogues with Customs declarants and taxpayers on new issues that were appreciated by the business community.
