Technical connection of automatic supervision system at Cat Lai port

Mrs. Pham Thi Leo, Deputy Director of Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch said that due to large volume of cargo clearance through Cat Lai port, the technical connection was conducted by the parties that aimed to test the program, improve the software for compatibility, before official implementation.

After completing the technical connection part, Saigon New Port Corporation will complete the software to add appropriate processing functions and test the program before the official operation. When Saigon Newport Corporation completes the software, the two sides will officially run the system, which is expected to be implemented in August.

Earlier, by implementing the project of automatic customs management and supervision at seaports and airports under Plan No 4098 / KH-TCHQ of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, HCM City Customs Department has achieved some results when implementing at 4 seaports (Lotus Port, SP-ITC Port, Phuoc Long ICD, Hiep Phuoc Port). Therefore, up to now, the automatic customs supervision and management system has been piloted in five seaports.

According to the plan of the HCM City Customs Department, implementing the automatic management and supervision system at Cat Lai port will be the premise for the unit to continue to expand at 4 other ports, including South West ICD, Sai Gon Tan Thuan port, Tan Thuan 2 port and specialized port of Thanh Le import and export company.
