VCN- Determining to successfully perform the political tasks in 2019 and emulate to obtain outstanding achievements and to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam Customs’ establishment, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has launched the emulation movement in 2019 in the Customs sector with the theme: “Discipline-Action-Efficiency”, in which determining specific targets, tasks and solutions.

The goal of this emulation movement is also to continue transforming awareness and action, accompanying investors and import and export enterprises, passengers on entry and exit, and promoting all resources in the Customs sector by creating a synergy for contributing to promoting the international economic development and tourism of the country.

Accordingly, a number of specific goals have been provided by the General Department of Vietnam Customs such as: continuing to reform and simplify Customs procedures towards modernization, publicity, transparency, contributing to improving the investment and business environment, and enhancing national and international competitiveness.

Striving to complete the State budget collection task of 2019 assigned by the National Assembly and the Government; determining to achieve the desired target assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

Modern Customs management requires maximum facilitation for the investment, immigration, import and export and tourism along with strict management and supervision in accordance with the law.

Building a Customs force of transparency, efficiency and modernization, meeting the requirements on reform, development and modernization; strict compliance with administrative discipline and rules in the performance of tasks and public duties; avoiding cases where officials are committing serious violations, leading to criminal prosecution at units.

In addition, a number of key targets are set by the General Department of Vietnam Customs to strive for: implementing exemplary responsibility as the responsibility of all civil servants, officials and employees in the Customs sector; reviewing functions and tasks and organizational structure at the Customs branch level and equivalent level to arrange and restructure a streamlined apparatus and effective operation; comprehensively accomplishing all tasks in 2019; strengthening customs control, fighting against smuggling and trade fraud; and intensifying the public inspection ...

Promoting the emulation movement is associated with political tasks in 2019, with the aim of celebrating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam Customs’ establishment and the 6th Customs sector’s conference by 2020. Creating an exciting emulation environment spreading throughout the entire Customs sector and in each unit. Focusing on promoting new, active and outstanding officials with training plans and developing them to become qualified, and typically excellent officials.

Accordingly, each unit of the General Department of Vietnam Customs shall base their activities on quickly performing their functions and assigned tasks to avoid work backlogs. Enhancing efficiency of proposals and advice in developing documents. Striving to accomplish 100% of registered projects and programs.

Each official of the General Department of Vietnam Customs shall strictly comply with administrative disciplines and rules, and develop a civilized and clean unit. Striving for 100% of officials in the units to strictly abide by administrative disciplines and rules, avoiding the case that officials are commiting serious violations, leading to criminal prosecution at units.

For Party organizations and unions (Trade Unions, Warriors, Youth Union, Women ...), the General Department of Vietnam Customs has requested promoting their roles, positions and functions to encourage and urge their members to actively participate in the emulation movements, humanitarian and charitable acts, cultural, sport and social activities launched by the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the Ministry of Finance.

Also, the General Department of Customs requires the heads of each organization to launch the emulation program and sign emulation covenants among collectives and individuals for creating an exciting emulation mood right from the beginning of the year. To attach importance to training excellent officers to be a core to promote the wide emulation movement in the unit. At the same time, conducting preliminary reviews, summaries, encouraging and commending or proposing commendations to individuals and collectives who have achieved outstanding and extraordinary achievements in emulation movements.

The leader of the General Department of Vietnam Customs has requested all civil servants, officials and employees in the Customs sector to abide by disciplines and rules, and enhance responsibility and efficiency in duty performance, accomplish the tasks in 2019 with excellence, and obtain achievements to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Vietnam Customs’ establishment and the 6th Customs sector’s conference by 2020.
