Suspects and 50kg of drugs seized by competent forces.

According to the Anti-drug Enforcement Team (Team 6) under the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department detected illegal transportation from Cambodia to Vietnam, so the Team discussed with the Anti-drug Department under the Border Guard.

The Border Guard established special plan A3-621 and coordinated with Team 6 to prevent and tackle the ring.

On December 18, the competent forces identified and arrested Nguyen Duc Tai who illegally transported drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam across Long An Border Gate to HCM City for sale.

Detecting suspects using two trucks to transport drugs, the working team monitored and arrested three suspects illegally transporting drugs in An Phu Tay commune, Binh Chanh district, HCM City.

Via inspection of the truck, the competent forces detected 50kg of synthetic drugs. These drugs were packaged in tea bags and hidden inside sacks between plastic containers of live eels and fish.

HCM City Police has arrested three suspects for investigation.

Earlier, on November 11, during patrols, the working team detected a truck carrying mangoes imported from Cambodia to Vietnam with suspicious signs.

The team detected 30 plastic bags suspected of containing drugs hidden in boxes of mangoes and arrested the driver and assistant.
