As of November 2nd, 2018, BR-VT Customs Department has achieved more than 83% of the target of PCA number at Customs declarant’s office (40/48 audits) and 114% of budget revenue target (22.8 billion / 20 billion) assigned by the General Department of Customs.
BR-VT Customs Department acknowledged that in 2018, the number of PCAs at Customs office increased sharply compared to the same period in 2017. The number of PCAs at the Customs declarant’s office was equivalent to that in the same period last year. Meanwhile, the revenue to state budget fell dramatically.
BR-VT Customs Department analysed that the number of PCAS at the Customs office conducted by the PCA Branch reached 500% compared with the same period last year (36/7 audits) due to the change of the implementation method. The PCA Branch has focused more on PCA at Customs office by enhancing the review and collection of information and making the most of the time in the implementation of assigned plans. Thereby contributing to creating budget revenue from PCA at the Customs office.
In terms of revenue from the PCA, in the recent years, the PCA Branch has conducted many PCAs in the locality. Thus, the number of enterprises which have been not inspected was mainly small and medium-sized enterprises with insignificant import and export value. At the same time, there were no cases of tax refund.
