Earlier, according to the direction of the Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, the pilot mechanism of border gate transfer for consumer goods at ICD My Dinh was extended until 31 March 2017.

Due to the extension period is almost over, in order for the border gate shipment for consumer goods to the ICD My Dinh to be not interrupted and not affect the business activities of enterprises, the Ministry of Finance proposes the Prime Minister to allow to continue the pilot mechanism of border gate transfer for consumer goods imported to the ICD My Dinh in accordance with Official Dispatch 789 / TTg-KTTH concerning the application of pilot mechanism of border gate transfer for consumer goods at the ICD My Dinh. The extension will be applied until the Decision on promulgation of the Regulation on border gate transfer for imported consumer goods implemented the Customs procedures at the ICD My Dinh of the Prime Minister takes effect.

Presently, the Ministry of Finance has completed the draft Decision of the Prime Minister on the promulgation of Regulations on border gate transfer for consumer goods at ICD and is waiting for the assessment of the Ministry of Justice.
