According to Decision 707/QD-TCHQ dated May 4,2022 of the GDVC approving the Plan on digital transformation of the Customs sector by 2025, with an orientation to 2030, local customs departments are required to develop a plan on digital transformation and concretize the time, performance results and completion schedule of tasks. The completion deadline is in May 2022.
The country’s top customs regulator has instructed local customs departments that the contents and their Digital Transformation Plans must be consistent with the Plan of the Customs sector issued in Decision 707/QD-TCHQ and the sector's development strategy and plan, and meet the actual requirements of each locality and department.
The plan must include basic contents: Part I evaluating the results of IT application of the unit in the 2016 – 2020 period, including a brief report on the achieved results and shortcomings.
On the basis of the goal of the Customs sector, the departments will develop their goals including general and specific goals.
The department must identify specific tasks to execute the plan on digital transformation by 2025, including specifying the leading unit and coordinating unit, performance results and completion deadline.
The departments will base on their actual performance to propose solutions for effective digital transformation.
Local customs departments must assign tasks to each unit to implement the plan.
