More than 600,000 applications processed through the National Single Window in a month

According to updated information from the General Department of Customs – Standing Agency of the National Steering Committee for ASEAN Single Window (ASW), NSW and Trade Facilitation (Committee 1899), from its implementation (2015) to April 15, 13 ministries and departments have joined NSW with 173 administrative procedures; the total number of administrative applications processed through the National Single Window Portal was over 2.59 million sets of 28,800 enterprises.
In the past month, the number of applications processed through the NSW has increased dramatically, accounting for nearly 24% of the total number of applications since the time of deployment.
This shows that the number of dossiers processed through NSW in the future might increase.
The General Department of Customs is currently working with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy Aviation NSW.
Regarding the implementation of ASEAN Single Window (ASW), Vietnam continues to exchange e-certificate of origin form D (e-C / O form D) with 4 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, and pilots the exchange of C / O form D with 2 countries: Cambodia and the Philippines.
In addition, from April 1, 2019, Brunei joined the ASW and officially exchanged C / O form D through ASW.
In the future, Vietnam will pilot the exchange of ASEAN customs declarations, electronic phytosanitary certificate (ePhyto), and electronic certificate of animal quarantine (e-AH).
The General Department of Customs has sent an official dispatch to the Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to propose coordination to prepare the contents for the pilot exchange of animal quarantine certificates between Vietnam and Indonesia (expected from July 1, 2019).

Vietnam is also actively preparing to connect the National Single Window to exchange information with the Eurasian Economic Union and South Korea.
