Quang Ninh Customs strengthens inspection and control during the Lunar New Year

The municipal customs department requests branches to comply with regulations of the law, the Ministry of Finance, local government and the General Department of Vietnam Customs; apply appropriate methods to instruct businesses to understand regulations related to goods, regimes and conditions of imports and exports, thereby, improving compliance with customs procedures.

The department also requires units to improve the responsibility of the support teams and accompany businesses to remove difficulties and facilitate imports and exports across the area.

Units are asked to arrange officers to immediately process customs procedures for businesses on working days as well as outside of working hours, holidays and weekends; strengthen coordination with competent forces at the border gate to regulate means of transport and goods, prevent goods congestion and quickly clear goods.

In addition, Quang Ninh Customs Department also requests subordinate units to comply with regulations on customs inspection and supervision for imports and exports, transited goods and luggage of passengers on entry, especially for targeted items.

Units must comply with regulations on the declaration of goods and means of transport before arriving at land border gates; encourage and create favorable conditions for enterprises to comply with the law, strictly manage and strengthen the management of risk products and enterprises and businesses that do not comply with regulations.

The municipal customs department has requested local customs branches to grasp the situation and work closely with competent agencies at the border gate to classify and regulate goods and means of transport.

The branches must collect information from relevant agencies to serve inspection and control work at warehouses, yards and seaports; control goods and means of transport in the customs control area, during storage and transport out of the control area.
