Ha Tinh invests in Cau Treo international border gate economic zone

The draft assesses the investment and development in Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone since its establishment until now and points out the shortcomings and causes in mobilizing state budget capital for infrastructure investment in the zone.

Accordingly, it provides proposals to select key investment projects in the construction and development of infrastructure for investment from the state budget for 2021 - 2025, creating a foundation for development in accordance with the orientation set out in the Ha Tinh province planning for 2021 - 2030, a vision to 2050 and orientations to adjust the general planning on construction of Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone until 2045.

The draft focuses on two main tasks, including expanding the Cau Treo International Border Gate area, completing the infrastructure of the A Gate area to boost import and export activities; and building and developing transport infrastructure in the zone.

The draft proposes to implement 10 new projects in the 2022 - 2025 period with a total investment capital of VND2,497 billion, of which VND2,362 billion from the central budget and VND135 billion from the local budget.

At the meeting of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province with the departments and sectors to grasp feedback and discuss the draft “Building infrastructure of Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone from the state budget for 2021 - 2025" on May 13, Ha Tinh Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung requested local agencies and units expand Cau Treo Border Gate and complete infrastructure in the A Gate area, and build transport infrastructure.

Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung asked the units to try to take advantage of resources for performance. The Provincial People's Committee Party Committee directs the local departments, government agencies and the Ha Tinh Economic Zone Management Board to discuss with central ministries and government agencies to take advantage of resources; and allocate local budgets to support the implementation of projects, especially projects funded by the central budget.
