Hai Phong Customs earns nearly VND65 billion from PCA

According to Hai Phong Customs Department, in 2021, the PCA faced difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but with the efforts of customs officers, the PCA achieved positive results, meeting the requirements of state management of customs and promptly preventing illegal acts of enterprises.
In 2021, Hai Phong Customs Department conducted 218 PCAs (67 audits at the declarant's office, 151 at the Customs office), imposing penalties for administrative violations of VND64.89 billion.
For specialized inspection, the department inspected three enterprises, proposing to impose administrative fines of VND4.5 billion.
In addition, to improve management efficiency and create favorable conditions for the business community amid the pandemic, Hai Phong Customs directed the post-clearance audit and specialized inspection to strengthen information collection, develop inspection plans and focus on key goods and enterprises and specific signs of violations.
At the same time, the department in 2021 did not inspect businesses without signs of violations to encourage them to focus on solving difficulties and restoring production and business activities according to Resolution 105/ NQ-CP dated September 9, 2021 of the Government, Notice 616/TB-BTC dated September 11, 2021 of the Ministry of Finance and Directive 7180/CT-TCHQ dated November 19, 2019 of the General Department of Customs.

Along with that, the unit actively coordinated to exchange information, warn of violations and signs of violations detected during the inspection process to relevant units to review and promptly handle and prevent similar violations.
